X25ALP X25ALP_E02B011 X.25 for OpenVMS Alpha V7.1 ECO Summary

NOTE: An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file. The name of the compressed file will be kit_name-dcx_vaxexe for OpenVMS VAX or kit_name-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha. Once the file is copied to your system, it can be expanded by typing RUN compressed_file. The resultant file will be the OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file which can be used to install the ECO. Copyright (c) Digital Equipment Corporation 1998. All rights reserved. This kit addresses the following problems: Problems Addressed in X25ALP_E02B011: o Stop ZWDRIVER needlessly consuming large amounts CPU time on AlphaServer 4000 family systems. o On PBXDP boards with more than 2 ports, correctly report the state of the modem control signals of ports above the first two. (The previous driver incorrectly reported the state of modem control signals for port 0 as the state of the modem control signals for each of ports 0, 2, 4 and 6 AND reported the state of the modem control signals for port 1 as the state of the modem control signals for ports 1, 3, 5 and 7.) o Ensure the state of the modem control signal DTR always is preserved across modifications to the register which controls DTR. Previously the board read the port register and inadvertently changed bit settings when doing so. The change corrects this situation for all ports on the PBXDP synchronous communications card. INSTALLATION NOTES: The images in this kit will not take effect until the system is rebooted. If there are other nodes in the VMScluster, they must
