Copyright (c) Digital Equipment Corporation 1995. All rights reserved. PRODUCT: DEC OSF/1 Version 3.2 SOURCE: Digital Equipment Corporation ECO INFORMATION: ECO Kit Name: OSFGRP_E01032 ECO Kits Superseded by this ECO Kit: None ECO Kit Approximate Size: osfgrp_e01032.tar 40017920 bytes ECO Kit Issued: 12-JUN-1995 System Reboot Necessary: See README file in kit ECO KIT SUMMARY: An ECO kit exists for DEC OSF/1 Version 3.2. This kit is cumulative and addresses the following problems: Patch ID: OSF320-068 Fixes a "kernel memory fault" panic in the routine get_thread_high(). The bug could also show up as a hung runnable thread. This occurs only on multiprocessor platforms. Patch ID: OSF320-103 (Update Patch ID: OSF320-053) - Fixes a corruption problem caused by UFS mishandling data that has been written to a DEC OSF/1 exported file system in conjunction with an NFS extend operation. The problem occurs on a PC running MSWORD Version 6.0 that has mounted a DEC OSF/1 file system using PC-NFS software Version 5.0 Patch ID: OSF320-106 - Fixes some timing issues with updates to the NIS distributed protected password database when running C2 security and NIS together. This caused passwords not being set, login failures not being counted, and login terminal information to not be updated. - Fixes C2 security library routines that did not handle the existence of an invalid template name in a protected password database entry gracefully. This could cause XSysAdmin and XIsso to hang. NOTES: 1. RE-ISSUED the following patches. Please use current files - o Patch ID: OSF320-039 and OSF320-067 (libc.so/libc.a) - removed unsupported features. o Patch ID: OSF320-067 (sbin/loader) - removed unsupported features. o Re-issued Patch ID: OSF320-002 ([r]dump) - correctly handles remote medium. 2.
