                      NOTE:  This ECO is the complete POLYCENTER
                             Scheduler OpenVMS Agent V2.1B product. 
                             POLYCENTER Scheduler OpenVMS Agent V2.1B 
                             does not need to be installed prior
                             installing this ECO.  However, a valid
                             license must be installed.

                             The product version will be V2.1B-4
                             after installing this ECO.
 
                             This release of the POLYCENTER Scheduler 
                             Version 2.1B Agent for OpenVMS must be 
                             used only in conjunction with POLYCENTER 
                             Scheduler Version 2.1B or later.  It also 
                             must be used with POLYCENTER Scheduler
                             V3.0 servers.

ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists for POLYCENTER Scheduler OpenVMS Agent V2.1B on
OpenVMS VAX V5.5-2 through V6.2.  This kit addresses the following
problems: 

Problems addressed in the VPSAGT_E04B021 kit:

  o  Changes have been made in the way that the agent stores username 
     and nodename information so that the POLYCENTER Scheduler OpenVMS 
     Agent V2.1B-04 will be compatible with POLYCENTER Scheduler V3.0
     for Digital UNIX[R].  Username and nodename information will be
     converted to uppercase before performing a comparison during a
     proxy check.

     NOTE:  Since all username and nodename information will be
            converted to uppercase before a proxy check, this version of
            the POLYCENTER Scheduler OpenVMS Agent will be unable to 
            distinguish between different accounts that use the same 
            username but with different case letters.  For example,
            if there were two accounts, one "smith" and the other
            "SMITH", a proxy check would succeed for both accounts.

  Please refer to the Release Notes included with this ECO for 
  additional information.

   
INSTALLATION NOTES:

The system/cluster does not need to be rebooted after this kit is
installed.  However, the POLYCENTER Scheduler OpenVMS Agent should be
shutdown and restarted in order for all kit changes to take effect.
