ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for TSM V2.1 on OpenVMS VAX V5.3 through V6.1, and
OpenVMS Alpha V1.5 and V6.1. This kit addresses the following problems:
TSMECO03021:
o Increased timeout reading slow responses under DECnet/OSI.
o Two-second delay before reconnecting to same server under DECnet/OSI.
o Corrected circuit list in prompting mode.
o Increased DECnet/OSI MOP client name to 16 characters.
TSMECO02021:
o Check for server type file that was not converted during V1.6-to-V2.0
upgrade and convert it.
o Add missing AXP LAN adapters to list of valid service circuits.
o Disable image privileges which are not authorized for user when
SPAWNing from TSM and TSM is installed with privileges.
o Reformat TEST DELAY output to restore server name field to 16
characters.
o Remove forced delay between test messages when doing TEST DELAY under
DECnet Phase IV.
o Increase server command response timeout to 60 seconds to allow slow
server commands to complete.
o Ignore syntax errors on commands for dynamic server types, acting as
automatic SYNTAX DISABLE for these commands.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
The ECO kit checks to ensure that a valid license is installed before
proceeding. If one is not found, the installation aborts.
The system/cluster does not need to be rebooted after this kit is installed.
NOTE: For OpenVMS Alpha V1.5 systems:
TSM V2.1-03 provides a SYS$LTDRIVER.EXE image. This new image
contains a bugfix that allows the TSM TEST LAT command to work
properly. This bugfix is also required for the TSM TEST DELAY
command on DECnet/OSI (DECnet phase V) systems. The SYS$LTDRIVER.EXE
image is only supplied on an OpenVMS AXP V1.5 system (the problem
has been corrected in the next release of OpenVMS AXP).
If LAT is running on your system, you must reboot the system after
this installation in order to reload the new LTDRIVER. Until you
reboot the system, the TSM TEST LAT command will not work (and TSM
TEST DELAY on DECnet/OSI systems will not function properly as well).
