ECO KIT SUMMARY:
NOTE: SNATE_E02016 is the release of DECnet SNA 3270 Terminal Emulator
certified for OpenVMS VAX and OpenVMS Alpha versions V7.1. The
installation process was modified to permit installation on OpenVMS
VAX and OpenVMS Alpha version V7.1 systems.
An ECO kit exists for DECNET/SNA Terminal Emulator for OpenVMS V1.6
on OpenVMS V6.1 through V7.1. This kit is built with SNAAI V2.4
ECO-02 which includes fixes for the following problems:
o GAI_CLOSE would not deallocate channels on abnormal disconnects.
The sna__rcv_callback routine now deallocates the channels.
o The pacing indicator was never being set on the first request
RH in the pacing window when data was sent to the host.
This has now been corrected in the SNA__PAC_RQ_SEND routine.
o Pacing was not working properly when a pacing value was specified.
This has been corrected in the sna__tc_dequeue_q_pac by checking
if pacing_count is greater than zero. Previously, pacing_window
was being checked in error.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
This ECO kit is installed with the VMSINSTAL command procedure.
After the installation is completed the product should be restarted
per the User's Guide installation instructions, to make the new
software active.
To make the terminal emulator shareable each time the system reboots,
you must add the following line to your system startup procedure:
$ @SYS$STARTUP:SNATE$STARTUP
