ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for DEC OSDS on OpenVMS Alpha V6.1 through V6.2. This
kit addresses the following problems:
Problems addressed in the LWAREA1033 Kit:
o Correction of conditions leading to volumes encountering "not ready
for I/O" errors.
o Correction of conditions leading to volumes hanging in mount
verification.
o Correction of conditions leading to volumes encountering "divide by
ZERO" errors.
o Various code changes to support logical I/O and MSCP served I/O.
o Set maximum I/O buffer size to 64512 bytes to prevent data
corruption caused by transfers greater than 64512 bytes.
o Corrected a problem where removes of cartridges from a jukebox
drive would cause the cartridge to be left in the robot and unknown
to software.
o Changed timeout of Prevent/Allow Remove command to 30 seconds.
NOTE: This was in response to a problem which caused overlapped
commands to impede use of jukeboxes during media removal.
o Return the correct byte count on partial transfers that end in
error.
o Corrected coding problem that would lead to system failures when a
start or stop unit command had to be retried.
Please refer to the Release Notes included with this ECO for additional
information.
