FORMSAVME02B21 DIGITAL DECforms for OpenVMS Alpha V2.1B ECO Summary

 
NOTE:  An OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file is stored
       on the Internet in a self-expanding compressed file.
       The name of the compressed file will be kit_name-dcx_vaxexe
       for OpenVMS VAX or kit_name-dcx_axpexe for OpenVMS Alpha.
 
       Once the file is copied to your system, it can be expanded
       by typing RUN compressed_file.  The resultant file will
       be the OpenVMS saveset or PCSI installation file which
       can be used to install the ECO.

ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists for DECforms V2.1B on OpenVMS Alpha V6.1 through V7.1 
This kit addresses the following problems:


Problems Addressed in FORMSAVME02B21:

  o  Corrects a bug reported in the Y2K "sliding window" functionality seen
     when the IFDL statement "Output Picture For Date" is used.


Problems Addressed in FORMSAVME01B21:

  o  Modifies the handling of date input to allow for interpretation of
     two digit years inside a specified "sliding date window".


INSTALLATION NOTES:

The FORMSAVME02B21 saveset contains an updated DECforms V2.1B run-time system 
with the release notes replaced by this file (FORMS01B21_E01_README1ST
.RELEASE_NOTES). Installing FORMSAVME02B21 will perform a complete replacement 
installation of all DECforms run-time components.

To install FORMSAVME02B21 invoke the VMSINSTAL command procedure, as outlined 
in Chapter 3 of the OpenVMS System Manager's Manual, and follow the
instructions in the DECforms Installation Guide for OpenVMS Systems.

FORMSAVME02B21 assumes that DECforms V2.1B has previously been installed on the
OpenVMS system.  Correct operation of DECforms cannot be guaranteed unless
this ECO is installed over DECforms V2.1B.  Installing this ECO over any other
