ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for DEC X.500 Directory Service V2.0A for OpenVMS VAX V6.1.
The release notes contain details on the problems addressed in this kit:
o On OpenVMS systems, there was a problem that could cause DIT
corruption in a DSA that exited abnormally after a failed
replication attempt. This problem has been fixed in this ECO
kit.
o There was an internal timing problem that could cause a DSA to
crash. This problem has been fixed in this ECO kit.
o The time taken for a DSA to detect that it cannot connect to
another DSA has been improved in this ECO kit. If an appli-
cation request requires a connection to a DSA that cannot be
contacted, then the DSA returns an error much sooner than in
previous versions.
o This ECO kit fixes a replication problem that could cause a
supplier DSA to crash if the consumer DSA reported insufficient
diskspace.
o This ECO kit fixes a memory problem that could cause the load-
ing of the MAILbus 400 routing entries to take an unexpectedly
long time.
o This ECO kit fixes a problem that sometimes caused entries to
be marked incorrectly as shadow copies.
o This ECO kit fixes a problem that could cause replication to
fail between DSAs in different timezones.
o This ECO kit fixes a problem that could cause the DSA to hang
after a DISABLE directive.
o This ECO kit fixes a problem that caused the DXIM windows in-
terface to return incorrect search results.
o This ECO kit fixes a problem that could reduce the perfor-
mance of searches in Directory Services that contain replicated
information.
