ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO (patch) kit exists for DEC MAILworks Server for OpenVMS VAX V1.2
on OpenVMS VAX V5.4 or later. This kit includes all fixes from previous ECO
kits as well as the following:
o The MUAS Server and the Connect Server have been modified to allocate
memory in a more efficient way.
o The MUAS Server properly handles messages submitted by DECfax that
have an unknown ASN.1 ID.
o The MUAS Server properly handles an RMS error while processing
a delivery thread.
o Modified error reporting of servers to report RMS errors in their
respective _output.log files.
o A corrupt profile entry is properly handled by the MUAS server.
o Connects by the DASL-based clients are properly handled.
o If NETBIOS goes down, the MUAS Server now attempts to re-enable
NETBIOS several times.
o Read-only shared drawers are properly implement.
o A user disconnect during a large DDS find is properly handled.
o A Connect message that contains no username is properly handled.
o Setting the REDIRECT_ADDRESS to an Internet account is properly
handled.
o To diagnose problems relating to particular log events it is now
possible to allow process dumps of either of the MUAS Server or
the Connect Server based on a particular log event.
o The Connect Server will now disconnect a client that has hit
a context threshold limit.
o The command procedure used by the VMS clients to purge the
wastebasket properly invokes the VT client.
o Both the MUAS and Connect Server have been modified to allow
collection of dumps should either of them hang.
o The VT client has been modified to fix random access violations
on messages with unusually large distribution lists.
o The A1MAIL$PRINT server has been modified to work with the
security modifications made in V6.0 of OpenVMS.
o The DS servers have been modified so they no longer randomly
enter a looping state.
o The cause of the error 'invalid item 2306' in the MUAS server
has been corrected and this will no longer occur. This had
the side effect of delivery notification either not being
delivered or being delivered on a retry.
