ECO KIT SUMMARY:

An ECO kit exists for DEC OSMS V1.4 on Digital UNIX V3.2C.  This kit
addresses the following problem: 

  o  To use OSMS V1.4 on Digital UNIX V3.2C, the virtual file system
     calls must be supplemented/corrected.  This ECO contains the
     file, vfs_syscalls.o, which will allow OSMS V1.4 to correctly
     install and operate with Digital UNIX V3.2C. 


INSTALLATION NOTES:

  o  Extract the contents of the osmstpe01014.tar file.  For example,

        tar -xvf osmstpe01014.tar

  o  Install OSMS V1.4 according to the documentation.  

     The installation will pause after all files are copied, and just 
     before the kernel is rebuilt, with a query to edit the config file.
     Before answering, copy the new vfs_syscalls.o file into
     "/usr/sys/BINARY" and then continue with the kernel build.


  NOTE:  If the installation of OSMS V1.4 has already been completed,
         you may simply copy the new vfs_syscalls.o file to 
         "/usr/sys/BINARY", rebuild the kernel, and reboot.
