ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for ACMSxp V3.2 for Digital UNIX Alpha on Digital
UNIX V4.0.d-e This kit addresses the following problems:
o The error pthread operation failed was signalled when a
task call task in the same task group was cancelled.
o The global section transport option between task and
processing servers was broken in some situations.
o The STDL compiler could segmentation fault when producing a
COBOL copy file.
o The acmsadmin command would sporadically hang prior
to contacting the tpcontroller.
o Prior to this release it was not possible to use get
message on a system catalogue unless a user defined message
catalogue also existed.
o The acmsadmin command:
stop tpsystem server process
did not work if more than one instance of the server was
running.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
Please refer to the V3.2 ACMSxp DIGITAL UNIX Installation Guide
for more detailed information.
Log in as superuser (login name root) to the system
where you are installing ACMSxp for DIGITAL UNIX.
Make sure that you are at the root (/) directory by
entering the following command:
# cd /
Specify the /cdrom directory to be the mount point for
the distribution file system on the drive. If your drive
is ra1, enter the following command:
# mount -dr /dev/ra1c /cdrom
Enter a setld command that requests the load function
(-l) and identifies the directory in the mounted
file system where ACMSxp for DIGITAL UNIX subsets are
located.
For example, if the directory location for these subsets
is /cdrom/AXP/acmsxp/bin, enter the following command:
# setld -l /cdrom/AXP/acmsxp/bin
The installation procedure now displays the names of ACMSxp for
DIGITAL UNIX subsets and asks you to specify the subsets you
want to load.
