This CD-ROM contains a Web-based search engine called isearch. The isearch index covers all of the books and reference pages on the CD-ROM. To enable the full-text search feature, your system administrator or Webmaster must set up a Web server and install the isearch software.
Instructions for installing isearch are in the the following directory on the CD-ROM:
/usr/share/doclib/online/DOCS/HTML/isearch

This CD-ROM also contains an AltaVista Search CD-ROM engine that you can use on a Windows PC. To use the AltaVista Search CD-ROM feature, follow these steps:
Mount the CD-ROM on a PC running a Windows operating system (except Windows 3.11, Windows NT 3.51, or earlier), with Version 4.0 or higher of Microsoft Internet Explorer or of Netscape Communicator.
Launch your browser and open the Tru64 UNIX Documentation Library. (If you have AutoPlay enabled, the browser will automatically start and open the library.)
In the table of contents, click on the same search link that displayed this page, and follow the instructions in the window that your browser opens.
