New and Changed Features

In its printed format, the Documentation Overview, Glossary and Master Index has not changed. However, with the Version 4.0D release of the DIGITAL UNIX operating system, the online version has been divided into two separate books:

The information in the Documentation Overview has been reorganized to help you use the DIGITAL UNIX documentation set most advantageously. Because only the online version has been revised, variations exist between that version and the printed Documentation Overview, Glossary, and Master Index.

A new printed version of the Documentation Overview will be offered with the next major release of DIGITAL UNIX; at that time the Glossary and Master Index will also be updated and released as a separate book in both printed and online formats.

Because the Master Index has not been revised, some page references to books that have been revised since the Version 4.0 release of DIGITAL UNIX may be inaccurate.
