volrecover(8)
NAME
volrecover - Recover plexes and volumes after disk replacement
SYNOPSIS
/sbin/volrecover [-g diskgroup] [-sb] [-o options] [volume|medianame...]
DESCRIPTION
The volrecover program performs plex attach operations for stale plexes
residing on the named disks. If no medianame or volume operands are
specified, then the operation applies to all plexes. If -s is specified,
then disabled volumes on the given disks will be started.
Plex attach operations and volume start operations will be started in an
order that prevents two concurrent operations from involving the same disk.
Operations that involve unrelated disks may run in parallel.
Options that can be specified to volrecover are:
-s Start disabled volumes involving the selected disks. Volumes will be
started before any plexes are attached.
-b Start recovery processes in the background.
-g diskgroup
Limit operation of the command to the given disk group, as specified by
disk group ID or disk group name. If no medianame operands are given,
then all disks in this disk group will be recovered; otherwise, the
medianame operands will be evaluated relative to the given disk group.
Without the -g option, if no medianame operands are given, then all
disks in all imported disk groups will be recovered; otherwise, the
disk group for each medianame operand will be determined based on name
uniqueness within all disk groups.
-o options
Pass the given option arguments to the -o options for the volplex att
and volume start operations generated by volrecover. Options of the
form plex=option and volume=option will be given only to volplex and
volume, respectively.
If -s is not specified, then volumes that could be started will result in
the following output:
start diskgroupvolume usage_type flag
In this output, diskgroup and volume identify the disk group and name of
the volume, and flag is one or more of the following:
kdetach
One or more plexes associated with the volume has the kdetach state
flag set.
stale
One or more plexes associated with the volume has the stale state flag
set.
stopped
None of the plexes associated has either of the above flags set.
Plexes that have the nodarec or the removed flag set will be ignored for
determining the appropriate flag word to print.
