lvsync(8)
NAME
lvsync - Synchronizes logical volume mirrors that are stale in one or more logical volumeSYNOPSIS
/usr/sbin/lvsync LogicalVolumePath ...DESCRIPTION
Note This command is no longer supported on Digital UNIX systems. Features formerly provided by the Logical Volume Manager (LVM) are now provided by the Logical Storage Manager (LSM). Existing LVM volumes must be migrated to LSM, using an encapsulation process. For information about moving LVM volumes to LSM, see the vollvmencap(8) reference page and the manual Logical Storage Manager. The lvsync command synchronizes the physical extents. The physical extents are mirrors of the original physical extent that are stale in the logical volume(s) specified by the LogicalVolumePath parameter. The synchronization process can be time consuming, depending on the hardware characteristics and the amount of data.EXAMPLES
To synchronize the mirrors on logical volume lv05, enter: lvsync /dev/vg01/lv05FILES
/usr/sbin/lvsync Specifies the command path.RELATED INFORMATION
