These routines do the following: · Delete the character under the cursor in the current or specified window · Move all characters that are to the right of the cursor and on the same line to the left one position · Fill the last character on the line with a blank. These routines do not change the cursor position (after moving to y, x, if specified). This does not imply use of the hardware delete-character feature.NOTES
The header file curses.h automatically includes the header file stdio.h. Note that delch, mvdelch, and mvwdelch may be macros.RETURN VALUES
All routines return ERR upon failure and OK upon successful completion.RELATED INFORMATION
