NAME
  sethostid - Sets the unique identifier of the current host

SYNOPSIS
  int sethostid (
	  int host_id );

PARAMETERS
  host_id   Specifies the unique 32-bit identifier for the current host.

DESCRIPTION
  The sethostid() function allows a calling process with a root user ID to
  set a new 32-bit identifier for the current host.  The sethostid() function
  enables an application program to reset the host ID.	The host ID is a
  unique number which may be used by application programs.  It is usually set
  to the primary IP address of the local machine.

  The sethostid() function fails if the calling process does not have
  superuser privilege.

RETURN VALUES
  Upon successful completion, the sethostid() function returns a value of 0
  (zero).  If the sethostid() function fails, a value of -1 is returned and
  errno is set to indicate the error.

ERRORS
  If the sethostid() function fails, errno may be set to the following value:

  [EPERM]   The calling process does not have the appropriate privilege.
