Using the Online Documentation Library Search Utility -The ASTAware SearchDisc search engine is included on this CD-ROM. On Windows platforms, the main menu should display and the search engine should launch when the CD-ROM is inserted into the drive. If it does not, start autolaunch.exe from the root of the CD-ROM. The ASTAware SearchDisc icon should appear in your taskbar when the search engine is running. *** NOTE: You must shut down the search engine by clicking the SearchDisc icon in your taskbar, before you can eject the CD-ROM from your drive ***. On Tru64 UNIX platforms, change the working directory to the root of the CD-ROM, and run the following shell script at the root of the CD-ROM: searchdisc_unix.sh This will launch the SearchDisc server and will set up the communcation ports. Open your browser and open index.htm from the root of the CD-ROM. You can navigate from the main menu using categories, searching through an alphabetical list of products, or with a search query. -Using ODL-ISO from a Hard Drive (Windows platforms only) If you choose to copy the ODL-ISO CD-ROM content to a hard drive, you will need to reconfigure the search engine to retrieve search results from the new location. This can be accomplished by: 1. Copying the entire CD-ROM to an area on a hard drive. For example, C:\ODL 2. Run MediaSwitcher.exe from the area you copied the CD-ROM to. This will reconfigure the search engine to search and retrieve search results from the new ODL-ISO location. This executable is located at the root of the CD-ROM. Note: Be sure that the search engine is shut down before proceeding. To shut the search engine down, click on the SearchDisc icon on your taskbar. 1. Enter the path where copied your ODL CD-ROM to. For example, C:\ODL 2. Enter this path again. 3. Restart the search engine by starting autolaunch.exe from the new location.
