Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) is a platform and resource 
independent standard that defines a common model and protocol for 
monitoring and controlling a diverse set of resources in an 
heterogeneous environment. The HPE WBEM services for Tru64 UNIX 
implementation is based on The Open Group (TOG) Pegasus Open Source 
Software (OSS) project, and on the WBEM and Common Information Model 
(CIM) standards produced by the Distributed Management Task Force 
(DMTF).

The HPE WBEM Services for Tru64 UNIX integrates with the rest of HPE's 
WBEM Services and Applications. Program Information can be found on the 
HPE WBEM Program web site.

The product tar file (wbem100.tar) contains a setld kit that installs 
HPE WBEM Services for Tru64 UNIX under the directory /var/opt/wbem.

WBEM Services for Tru64 UNIX can be installed on AlphaServer systems 
running Tru64 UNIX 5.1, or later, and requires 15 Mb of disk space.

You can also download the t64info client application. This application 
can be used to help verify access of management data from the Tru64 UNIX 
CIM providers shipped with this product.  This application is not a 
supported product and should not be used to develop WBEM based 
management applications. This application, along with instructions on 
how to use it, have been packaged in a tar archive.
