Novell Simple Password Method

To assign a simple password which has a lower grade of security
than the traditional NDS login method to users, do the following:

   1) From the Windows workstation, start ConsoleOne.

   2) Expand the NDS tree > Security Container.

   4) Right-click the Login Method Container object.

   5) Select New > Object.

   6) Double-click the SAS:NMAS Login Method. This launches the
      Login Method Installation wizard.

   7) Browse to the directory that contains the login method files.
This is the configuration directory for the method. For Novell's
      SimplePassword method this directory is

      NMASMETHODS\NOVELL\SIMPLEPASSWORD

   8) Complete all steps in the installation process. Method installation
will extend the NDS schema (if required), create the Login Method
Object in the Login Method Object container for the method, and
copy any method specific snapins to the running version of
ConsoleOne. Please note however that these custom snapins will
not load until ConsoleOne is closed and re-started. The
installation summary screen details the results of each portion
      of the installation procedure.

   9) Install additional client specific components for the method. These
components are located in the CLIENT sub-directory under the
method's configuration directory. For the Novell Simple Password
method, the client specific components are located in

      NMASMETHODS\NOVELL\SIMPLEPASSWORD\CLIENT

For the simple password method execute CLIENTSETUP.EXE.

    10) In ConsoleOne, right-click the User object and
        select Properties.

    11) Click the Login Methods tab and select Simple Password.

    12) Check the box next to Allow Simple Password > enter
password > re-enter the password > click OK.

Only user's who are enabled in this manner may use the
    simple password method to authenticate.
