PROBLEM: (81399) (PATCH ID: OSF510-020)
********
A system panic occurs on bootup when a large number of devices (greater than
255) are connected to the system. This panic occurs when smsd (the system
management daemon) starts up, shortly after entering multi-user mode.

The panic may look like the following:

simple_lock: time limit exceeded

   pc of caller: 0xfffffc00004ddea0
   lock address: 0xfffffc000085b380
   lock info addr: 0xfffffc000087b7b0
   lock class name: kernel_pmap.lock
   current lock state: 0xc4000179004e0aad (cpu=?,pc=0xfffffc00004e0aac,busy)

panic (cpu 0): simple_lock: time limit exceeded

PROBLEM: (83825) (PATCH ID: OSF510-257)
********
This patch fixes a problem within the kernel that could leave cached pointers
to a ksm data structure after the ksm instance was removed from the hierarchy.
A kernel memory fault or data inconsistency could result.
