DBExpert(tm) Relational Database for OS/2 from Sundial Systems
Installation Notes (INSTALL.TXT) for the DBExpert 2.0.9 Update Kit
    August 2000

The DBExpert 2.0.9 Update Kit is designed to update an installed copy
    of DBExpert 2.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2, 2.0.3, 2.0.4, 2.0.5, 2.0.6, 2.0.7, or
2.08 to Version 2.0.9. Do not attempt to use this kit to update a copy
    of DBExpert Version 1.

This file only contains information about installation of the Update
Kit. You should also consult the Release Notes (README.TXT) for more
information about DBExpert 2.0.9 before you install the update.

    Update Kit Flavors

Note that the Update Kit comes in two distinct flavors, one for the
full version and one for the DBExpert Runtime.

If you are trying to identify one kit from another, the typical names
under which the kits are found are:

DBUP209.ZIP Update Kit for full version
DBUP209R.ZIP Update Kit for DBExpert Runtime

    Installation Instructions

The DBExpert 2.0.9 Update consists of the following files:
        DBE.DLL
        DBEQ.DLL
        DBEDB2.DLL

To install the update, make sure DBExpert is not running and then simply
copy these files to the directory where you have DBExpert installed.
(You may wish to make a backup copy of your existing copies of these files
before doing this. DBEQ.DLL was a new file in version 2.0.3, so there is
no need to make a backup copy of this file if you are updating from 2.0.2
    or earlier.)

Also included is an updated README.TXT file. We suggest you also copy
this file to your DBExpert directory along with SQLWORDS.TXT which
contains an extensive list of SQL reserved words (which generally should
not be used as table or column names). This file is the same as that
included with version 2.0.5 and later.

And finally, the file FIXLIST.TXT contains a list of all problems which
have been fixed since 2.0 was released. This file is included only
    as an item of interest.

    Of Interest To Runtime Users

The Runtime update kit contains different versions of the same files
as the full update kit (with the exception that SQLWORDS.TXT is not
included). The installation instructions are the same, except that
the name of your installation directory may be DBERUN rather than
    DBEXPERT.

    The Legal Fine Print
