A PostScript version of the most recent (February, 1998) draft of the specification, which has been edited in response to comments on the January draft meeting, is available in ftp://sgigate.sgi.com/pub/opengl/doc/feb98/glspec.ps. A description of the changes between the November and February drafts is in CHANGES. A description of remaining items to do is in TODO.
Compressed versions fitting two logical pages per physical page (glspec2.ps) and four logical/physical (glspec4.ps) are also available, for those with good eyesight who want to save paper.
Finally, the spec is available in Adobe PDF format (glspec.pdf), if you don't have a PostScript printer or viewer. Thanks to Tom Hubina of Gibbs and Associates for doing the conversion!
The GLX 1.3 draft is available in ftp://sgigate.sgi.com/pub/opengl/doc/feb98/glxspec.ps. GLX is the X Windows System protocol extension used to implement OpenGL over a network. A description of the changes from GLX 1.2 to GLX 1.3 is in glxchanges.log.
Comments on this draft from ARB members, other OpenGL licensees, and other interested parties using OpenGL are welcome. Comments should be sent by email to oglspec@oddhack.engr.sgi.com, and received by February 23, 1998 in order to be incorporated into the next draft.
The (hopefully) final draft of the OpenGL and GLX specifications will be released at the beginning of March, 1998. The specifications are expected to be approved at the ARB meeting from March 9-10, 1998.
