SUMMARY

This article describes how to create a playlist in Media Player 7.

MORE INFORMATION

Initially, Windows Media Player must scan your computer for media files that are stored locally before the titles can be added to the playlist. To scan your computer for available media, start Media Player, and then click Search Computer For Media on the Tools menu. When you are prompted, click the appropriate drive, and then click Start Search. After Media Player has searched the computer, click the Media Library tab to see the audio and video information that is available on your computer.

To create a playlist, click New Playlist on the Media Library tab. Type a name for the playlist, and then click OK. The name of the playlist appears under My Playlists on the Media Library tab.

To add tracks to the playlist, click a track under Audio or Video on the Media Library tab, and then click Add To Playlist. Click the playlist to which you want to add the track.

You can also add tracks to a playlist by selecting the track to be added on the Media Library tab and then dragging the track to the appropriate playlist.
