Hi! Welcome to yet another installment of LMCTF! I'm your
Linux porting person. It is my job to help you run the most
stable system you can. You can make my job a whole lot
simpler by taking the time to read this readme.

1) You need to already have the 3,4, and 5 PAKs. You can get
these in LM3 and LM4, or just grab the handy pre-made
   zip file from http://www.planetquake.com/lmctf

2) You need to have a binary library file to make this work. These
you can pick up in the same place you got this one.

3) VERY IMPORTANT: The game libraries are not very forgiving of
the EOLN differences between DOS and UNIX. If you feed it
a file with DOS-style end-of-line markers, you will very
likely crash and burn with "Floating Point Exceptions" or
strange skin problems. (Nothing a little calamine won't fix.)
I pre-fixed all the files in this distro. However, if you
install your own ENT, TXT or INI files, you should probably
   run stripcr again.

4) The map selection code has, in the past, had some interesting
problems. First of all is the caps-sensitivity of UNIX. Make
sure your maplist, ent files, and map filenames are agree with
respect to case. (The accepted standard is all-lowercase.)

5) The map randomization code had some issues with blank lines in
the maplist. Be careful with it. I'm not sure how it handles
them now. Someone may have fixed my code. :)

6) You would probably be advised to run the server as someone other
than root. While I see no security problems, per se, I cannot
promise you that someone might think something up.

7) Don't open cans of Guinness warm. It gets ugly.

8) If you have problems or if you find a problem, feel free to E-mail me.

9) Oh, and if you run into any of the "Savage }SVG{" clan out there,
   tell them Zap says "Hi!"

Share and Enjoy!
