geomview-1.6.1p9: description + notes

geomview is an interactive program written by the staff of the University of Minnesota Geometry Center for viewing and manipulating geometric objects. It can be used as a standalone viewer for static objects or as a display engine for other programs that produce dynamically changing geometry.

Geomview's main purpose is to display objects whose geometry is given, allowing interactive control over details such as point of view, speed of movement, appearance of surfaces and lines, and so on. Geomview can handle any number of objects and allows both separate and collective control over them.

Interfaces to Mathematica and Maple are included.

If you use this software please send a note to register@geom.umn.edu telling them what you're working on and how their software helps. It will help them get funding for further work. See /usr/freeware/lib/geomview/REGISTER for details.
