PC SERVER 300 BIOS FLASH UPDATE DISKETTE VT55

                      PC Server BIOS Update Procedure
                      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To update the BIOS on a PC Server system, perform the following steps:
    1. Insert the PC Server BIOS Update Diskette into drive A and
       press Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart the system.  At the introductory
       screen, press please respond with a Yes (Y) to continue or a
       No (N) to quit.
    2. At the next screen, the program displays the level of the BIOS
       code on the diskette and provides another opportunity to
       continue with the update or quit.
    3. If you responded with a Yes (Y) to the second prompt, the update
       utility will load and update the system BIOS.
    4. Once the update procedure has completed, turn the power to the
       system off and then on to restart the computer and use the new
       BIOS.
    NOTE:  In order to be able to perform the update, the update
           utility requires that the BIOS code file, labeled
           M4PE_Txx.BIN or M5PE_Txx.BIN be present on the diskette.
           If this file is missing, an error message will be displayed
           and the update procedure will stop.
Setting a Password
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The new PC Server BIOS implements two passwords on the system, one for each
time you turn on the system (power-on password) and one for accessing the
ROM-based setup program (setup password). These passwords may be
selectively enabled or disabled from the first screen of the setup program.

It is possible, when you turn the system on for the first time, that you
may be asked to enter a power-on password. Type a password and press
Enter. You will be asked to verify the password by entering it once more.
After that, the system will prompt you for the password each time it is
powered on.

The same procedure applies to the setup password. The first time you
try to enter the ROM-based setup utility by pressing Ctrl-Alt-S, the
system will prompt for a password. As for the power-on password, type
a password and press Enter. You will be asked to enter the password once
more for verification. Thereafter, each time you want to access the setup
program, you will need to enter your password.

If you only want one or the other of the passwords, or none at all, they
may be selectively disabled from the first screen of the setup utility.
Once you have accessed the setup utility, use the cursor keys to highlight
the correct password choice and enable or disable it using the plus and
minus keys. Then press Esc and F4 to save the selections and restart the
system.

Changing a Password
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To change a password, disable the password from the setup utility, save the
selection and restart the system by pressing F4, and then enable the
password again from the setup utility.  The system will prompt you to enter
and confirm a new password at power-on time in the case of a power-on
password or when you try to access the setup utility.
