1.0 About the ServeRAID DOS Configurator
  _________________________________________

The ServeRAID DOS Configurator enables you to configure your RAID
subsystem for an IBM ServeRAID adapter or controller on the system
board. It also includes a set of diagnostics to allow you to
perform testing of your adapter and the devices that are attached to
  it.

2.0 Starting the ServeRAID DOS Configurator
  ____________________________________________

You can use the Configuration Program to configure an IBM ServeRAID
adapter or an IBM ServeRAID controller on the system board.

  NOTES:
  -----
     1. You must create and configure your disk arrays before you
install your operating system. (Refer to the "IBM ServeRAID
Adapter Installation Instructions and User's Guide" or your
        "User's Handbook" for instructions).

     2. You must ensure that all external devices that you want to
include in your arrays, such as hard disk drives stored in an
external storage-expansion enclosure, are turned on. Refer
to the documentation provided with the external device or to
the "IBM ServeRAID Adapter Installation Instructions and User's
        Guide" for instructions.

  To start the configuration program:
  -----------------------------------

   1. Insert the "IBM ServeRAID DOS Configurator diskette" into the
diskette drive; then, turn on the system. If the system is
      already turned on, press Ctrl+Alt+Del.

   2. Follow the instructions on the screen to configure your
      ServeRAID adapter or controller.

      NOTE:
Depending on your server model, you can install up to eight
ServeRAID adapters. However, you must configure each ServeRAID
      adapter and controller separately.
