The IESG has received a request from the Network File System Version 4
Working Group to consider NFS Version 2 and Version 3 Security Issues
and the NFS Protocol's Use of RPCSEC_GSS and Kerberos V5
<draft-ietf-nfsv4-nfssec-00.txt> as a Proposed Standard.

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action.  Please send any comments to the
iesg@ietf.org or ietf@ietf.org mailing lists by March 2, 1999.
