SYMPTOM:

NET commands on an IBM XT fail.

CAUSE

This has been fixed with a recompile of the libraries that
NET.EXE calls  however this NET (7/15/94) will only run at the
command line and cannot use the GUI portion of the utility.  The
newer NET.EXE dated 7/15/94 fixes the problem of NET not working
on IBM XTs but does not fix the problem of interfacing with the
GUI.

SOLUTION: 

The only way to workaround this problem is for administration
functions to remotely administer the SERVER that is running on
the IBM XT.  For mapping and capturing functions only command
line will currently work with the new NET.EXE.

 This problem has been entered as SPR# 997892.
