SYMPTOMS:

When entering Windows the following error is displayed:

NWDRV-3.00-40:  There was a problem loading or executing the Personal
NetWare support library.  All Personal NetWare functions are
disabled.

CAUSES:

The error is caused by an out of date NETWARE.DRV file.

SOLUTIONS:

When using the VLMs, this problem is corrected by using at least
v3.02 of NETWARE.DRV, dated 11-24-93 or later.   

To get NETWARE.DRV v3.02 dated 11-24-93, the file may be obtained
from the original PNW installation diskettes.  With standalone
Personal NetWare 1.0 use disk 2 of 3.  With Novell DOS 7.0 use disk 5
of 6.  To replace it from the originals use PNUNPACK to uncompress it
and copy to the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.  To uncompress the file,
type PNUNPACK A:NETWARE.DR_ /O

An updated NETWARE.DRV is also located in the file WINDR2.EXE, which
is available on CompuServe in the NOVFILES forum,  WEB Site
WWW.NOVELL.COM, and FTP server FTP.NOVELL.COM (PUB\NETWIRE\NOVFILES),
Desktop BBS (801-221-5197).
