ISSUE:

SHARED RESOURCES (NETWORK DIRECTORIES AND PRINTERS)

Shared resources are those resources, network directories, and
printers that are shared with clients on a network. Novell suggests
that network directories and printers be given descriptive names.

-o-  Good names for network directories might be the following:

          TURBOC, WORDPERFECT, GAMES, IBM_DOS_310 or PUBLIC.

-o-  Good names for network printers might be the following:

          LASERJET_II, EPSON_DOT.

Names that might not be good are CDRIVE, PRINTER1, PRINTER2. These
names provide no indication of what applications or what types of
printers are being made available. You will notice that during
NetWare Lite installation, a CDRIVE network directory is created for
you. When you become familiar with the product, give this resource a
more descriptive name.
