details

Installation:
Copy the iprint.dmg installation file to the Macintosh machine. Double-click the dmg file.

If a web browser was running, restart the browser after installing the iPrint Client for Macintosh. This allows the browser to recognize the iPrint Client plug-in.

To cause this version of the iPrint Client for Mac to downloaded to end user machines when they click the "Install iPrint Client" link from the /ipp page, follow these steps:

NetWare:

Rename the existing sys:\apache2\htdocs\clients\mac directory to sys:\apache2\htdocs\clients\mac10_6
Manually create a directory named sys:\apache2\htdocs\clients\mac directory
Copy the extracted iprint.dmg file from this download to the sys:\apache2\htdocs\clients\mac directory.
Download and install the NetWare iPrint patch iprntnw65sp8e
Follow the installation instructions in that patch set.

Linux:
Step 1: 'mac' and 'mac10_6'

Ensure the 'mac' and 'mac10_6' directory structures exist within /var/opt/novell/iprint/htdocs/clients/.  Those two directory structures may already exist. If they don't, you can manually create them, or install the following RPMs to have them auto-created:

OES2: novell-iprint-client-6.3.20120910-0.7.noarch.rpm
OES11: novell-iprint-client-6.4.20120910-1.1.noarch.rpm
OES11SP1 and beyond: No action needed.  The directory structures already exist.
iPrint Appliance: 1.0 and beyond: No action needed.  The directory structures already exist.

Note: To view which version is currently installed, type the following command at a terminal prompt:

rpm -qa novell-iprint-client

Step 2: Replace the iprint.dmg

Copy the 5.78 iprint.dmg (from this download) to /var/opt/novell/iprint/htdocs/clients/mac
This step will replace the older iprint.dmg in the 'mac' directory with the newer iprint.dmg.

Read the iPrint Client for Macintosh on-line documentation for more installation nformation.
