iPrint update for NetWare 65 support pack 8 f

NetWare iPrint server NLM updates.  This iprntnw65sp8f patch set differs from the previous iprntnw65sp8e patch set in that it has an updated Apache2.nlm to resolve a CPU Hog ABEND in Apache.

The iPrint NetWare 6.5 Support Pack Post patch revision F includes all iPrint updates since Support Pack 8 was released and includes an updated Apache2.nlm to resolve a CPU Hog ABEND in Apache.

Installation Instructions:

• Unload the Print Manager.
  • unload ndpsm
• Unload the Broker.
  • unload broker
• Unload Apache.
  • ap2webdn
• Unload IPPRSRVR.NLM.
  • unload ippsrvr
• Unload Tomcat
  • tc5stop
  • Stop Java
  • java -exit
• Copy updated files
  • Make a backup of the current NDPSM.NLM, IPPSRVR.NLM, NDPSGW.NLM, DPLSV386.NLM, LPR2NDPS.NLM, and RMANSRVR.NLM in the server's SYS:\SYSTEM directory.
  • Copy the updated NDPSM.NLM, IPPSRVR.NLM, NDPSGW.NLM, DPLSV386.NLM, LPR2NDPS.NLM, and RMANSRVR.NLM to the server's SYS:\SYSTEM directory.
  • Make a backup of the current NDPSM.MSG file in the server's SYS:\SYSTEM\nls\4\ directory.
  • Copy the updated NDPSM.MSG to the server's SYS:\SYSTEM\nls\4\ directory.
  • Make a backup of the current SYS:\SYSTEM\APACHE2\Apache2.nlm
  • Copy the updated Apache2.nlm to the SYS:\SYSTEM\APACHE2 directory
• Load Apache
  • ap2webup
• Start Java
  • java
• Load Tomcat
  • tomcat5
• Load the Broker (BROKER), using the same command line switches that have been used prior to the update.
• Load the Print Manager (NDPSM), using the same command line switches that have been used prior to the update.
• Copy the apache2\htdocs\ippdocs\ updated directory to the NDPSM server's sys:\apache2\htdocs\ directory.
  • This step will add an updated iprint.js file and create a new iPrint Client for Mac directory.
• Important Note for Mac 10.8 Support: If you anticipate end users to click the client install link from the /ipp page from a Mac 10.8 or later (Mountain Lion or later) to install the appropriate iPrint Client for Mac, replace the iprint.dmg in the sys:\apache2\htdocs\clients\mac directory with a version of the iPrint Client for Mac version 5.70 or later.  The default iprint.dmg in the mac directory is intended for Mac 10.6 and older.  See TID 7010579 for more detail.
