ABSTRACT:

This download contains UNIXLIB.NLM 15.15.10, May 31, 2005.  This is intended to
be used only on NetWare 6.0 SP5, and corrects a problem where files and
directories created by NetWare users on NSS volumes are always owned by UID 0
(root) and GID 1 when viewed from Linux / Unix, rather than owned by the UID
and GID assigned to the NetWare user.  However, in correcting this, an NFS
performance improvement introduced in NetWare 6.0 SP5 had to be removed.

This fix is not needed if the only NFS exports are traditional (legacy) NetWare
volumes.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Rename SYS:SYSTEM\UNIXLIB.NLM to UNIXLIB.SP5 (or another desired name).
2.  Copy the UNIXLIB.NLM supplied in this download to SYS:SYSTEM.
3.  To stop all NFS related services and restart with the new module, execute:

	GYSTOP.NCF (if NFS Gateway is running)
	NFSSTOP.NCF
	UNLOAD UNIXLIB (probably already unloaded at this point)
	NFSSTART.NCF
	MODULES UNIXLIB (verify version 15.15.10, May 31, 2005 is now loaded)
	GYSTART.NCF (if NFS Gateway is needed)
    

ISSUE: 

NetWare 6.0 SP5 introduced a change in UNIXLIB.NLM which improved performance
of directly listings requested by Linux / Unix NFS clients.  This change had
the side effect of causing failure to set Unix ownership properly in the NFS
name space of NSS volumes.

The change has been removed.  Other UNIXLIB.NLM fixes in NetWare 6.0 SP5 (for
example, an abend fix) are still present in this module.
