These NLMs can be used on a NetWare 5.0 server if the current support pack for NetWare 5.0 has been installed before trying to run these NLMs. To find the current support pack for NetWare 5.0 check the patches link at http://support.novell.com. These NLMs will not work on any NetWare 4.x servers. The install prerequisites were edited 12/11/00. The latest support pack for NetWare 5.1 must be installed before using these NLMs. At the minimum support pack 1 must be installed, failure to do so will result in public symbol errors. 2. The NLMs contained in this patch can be used for the Enterprise web server running on a NetWare 5.1, or the Novonyx web server running on NetWare 5.0. Do not use these NLMs on any version of NetWare released before version 5.0. 3. On a NetWare 5.0 server, PKI/SAS needs to be installed in order to load the NLMs in this patch. 4. The NetWare 5.0 server must be patched to NW5SP5.EXE or later for these NLMs to work. The latest support pack can be located at: http://support.novell.com Enterprise WebServer Installation: 1. Stop the web server using the NSWEBDN command. 2. Rename the admserv.nlm, nshttpd.nlm, nslcgi.nlm and the nwglobsm.nlm or move them to a backup directory. These files are located in the SYS:SYSTEM directory of the NetWare 5.x server. There may not be an nwglobsm.nlm in the SYS:SYSTEM in every situation. 3. Copy all of the NLMs included in this patch to the SYS:SYSTEM directory on the NetWare 5.x server. 4. Reload the web server with the NSWEB command, or reboot the server. ISSUE: NESN51B.EXE inclueds all of the fixes in the previous NESN51x.EXE patches. In addition to providing a temporary upgrade path for NetWare 5.0 web servers, multiple stability issues and the following abends have been addressed. Fixes in NESN51.EXE 1. Abend in CheckTheRightsCache caused with NDS authentication Fixes in NESN51A.EXE 1.Users that are located several contexts down are unable to authenticate to the Enterprise Server. 2.Unable to see an index of files and folders on another volume through the Enterprise Server. Fixes in NESN51B.EXE 1.A NetWare 5.1 web server is using virtual document directories to access HTML files on a remote server. The web server is taking a licensed connection on the remote server and will not release it until the web server is reset or rebooted. 2.Web server appears to be causing high utilization on the server. 3. If more then 16 hardware virtual servers were defined the web server would abend. 4.If you create a Software Virtual Server, the cache statistics do NOT update; they all stay at 0. If you then delete the Software Virtual Server, the cache starts working again. 5. An abend caused when using Netscape 6.0 browser and Web Access.
