ABSTRACT:

This DHCPCLNT.NLM will run on NetWare 5.1 SP5 and NetWare 6 SP2 and later code.
It will allow a server to obtain an IP address dynamically either as it boots,
or after it is already up and running.

While most servers should continue to be configured using the BIND statement in
the AUTOEXEC.NCF file with a static IP address, there are situations where
using DHCP to get an address is more convenient and sometimes necessary.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Copy DHCPCLNT.NLM into the SYS:\SYSTEM directory.
2. Load DHCPCLNT.NLM at the server console. To get help on the syntax, options
and flags available in DHCPCLNT.NLM type DHCPCLNT /help at the NetWare console
and something like the following will appear on the screen.    
Syntax for DHCPCLNT.NLM      
DHCPCLNT -HELP --- Display this help screen
DHCPCLNT NAME=<logical board name> [options] [-|/][flags]

Options:
HOST = <Host Name> Update SYS:ETC\HOSTS file for <Host Name>
LEASE=seconds Minimum lease in seconds
RS=<Address> Release the assigned DHCP Secondary Address
TIMEOUT=seconds DHCP wait for reply timeout in seconds
Flags [-|/]
-HELP Display this help Screen
-INETCFG Update INETCFG
-RELEASE Release the primary DHCP Address
This will also release all secondary addresses.
-SECONDARY Get a secondary IP address for this board 


ISSUE: 

- Fixes the renewel of address lease.
