ABSTRACT:

This fix modifies the functionality of ZENworks to scan and display DMI data in
Workstation Inventory Summary.

In Workstation Inventory Summary window, the DMI Data is classified and
displayed under:
- DeskTop Summary
- Detailed DMI Inventory

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Close any NWAdmin Consoles that are open on any desktops
   before installing this fix.

2. To shut down all the Java* components, from the server prompt,
   type: java -killall 

3. Rename or back up the following existing files on the Inventory 
   server:
   - SYS:\public\zenworks\dmiscan.exe To dmiscan.org
   - SYS:\public\zenworks\Dmtf2cim.ini To Dmtf2cim.org
   - Sys:\public\zenworks\java\Desktop.Jar To Desktop.org
   - Sys:\public\zenworks\java\Storer.Jar To Storer.org
           
4. Unzip the files from the patch file available with this TID.

   This .ZIP file contains the files: 
   Dmiscan.exe, Dmtf2cim.ini, Desktop.Jar, Storer.Jar

5. Copy the following files to SYS:\PUBLIC\ZENWORKS directory:
   - Dmiscan.exe
   - Dmtf2cim.ini
   
6. Copy the following files to SYS:\PUBLIC\ZENWORKS\JAVA directory:
   - Desktop.Jar
   - Storer.Jar

7. From the server prompt, type MASTER to start the Java components.
		 
8. Schedule the scans on the workstations from the Workstation Scheduler.

9. Verify the inventory information in Workstation Summary NWAdmin 
   console.
