This patch is specifically for users who are running ManageWise and ZEN works together ONLY . Please be aware that the CSP2 for ManageWise 2.6 (MW26SP2.EXE) needs to be installed first. Register and import the managed workstation into NDS. 2. Install the Remote Management Agent on the managed workstation. 3. Log into the managed workstation as a ManageWise User. This will run the scanner, and the scanned information will be stored in the ManageWise database. 4. From the ManageWise Console, click Tools > Desktop Manager. 5. Press F5 to refresh the Desktop Manager window. 6. From the Desktop Manager, right-click the managed workstation > click Inventory Information > and ensure that the Device Inventory window contains the following component details: zen_dist_name Displays the Distinguished Name of the managed workstation zen_tree_name Displays the name of the NDS Tree into which the managed workstation has been registered and imported 7. Login to the Server where ZENworks is installed and map the SYS volume. (This is required in order to access the ZENworks 2.0 executables from the server) 8. From the Desktop Manager, select the managed workstation > click Tools > Control Station to start a Remote Control session (or any other operation like File Transfer, Chat, Remote Execute). This will pop up a dialog box asking for the ZENworks server name. 9. Type the ZENworks server name > click OK. 1.1 To Specify a different ZENworks 2 server: 1. Edit "zenserv.ini" file in MW\LDT directory of the console workstation. This file will contain the "Name=ZENservername" entry under the "Server" Section. 2. Replace the server name. 3. Check whether the new server is authenticated and SYS volume is mapped. 4. Try the remote operation. Another option is to delete this file > when you try any remote operation on the ZENworks 2 agent, in the dialog box that displays, type the new server name. ISSUE: This patch is only for users who are running ZEN works AND ManageWise together.
