ABSTRACT:

This file contains the following Z.E.N.works 1.01 (includes NAL 2.6) fixes:
1. NWAPP32.DLL to resolve a problem where NAL Explorer would have a 20 second
delay during loading if the NAL NT Service is loaded.
2. NALNTSRV.EXE to resolve a problem where Windows NT would blue screen (trap)
if the NAL NT Service was loaded on a Terminal Server using the Novell Client
v4.5 for Windows NT.
These files have not been System Tested.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

To install the NWAPP32.DLL:

On the NetWare server(s) where Z.E.N.works 1.01 Starter Pack is installed:

 1.  Make a backup copy of the following file:

 SYS:PUBLIC\nwapp32.dll

 2.  Copy the NWAPP32.DLL from this file to the following subdirectory:

 SYS:PUBLIC

 3.  Run NAL Explorer (NALEXPLD.EXE) again.


To install the NAL NT Service:

On the NetWare server(s) where Z.E.N.works 1.01 Starter Pack is installed:

 1.  Make a backup copy of the following file:

 SYS:PUBLIC\WINNT\nalntsrv.exe

 2.  Copy the NALNTSRV.EXE from this file to the following subdirectory:

 SYS:PUBLIC\WINNT
 
 3. To install the updated NALNTSRV.EXE on a Windows NT machine, use one of the
following procedures:
	a. Update the Novell Client for Windows NT source files with the NALNTSRV.EXE
from this file and run SETUPNW to install or re-install the Novell Client.
	b. With sufficient rights on the Windows NT machine, use the updated
NALNTSRV.EXE and, from an NT command prompt, execute the command: 
	NALNTSRV install 
	(for example, F:\public\winnt\>nalntsrv install)
	c. Use the Z.E.N.works Workstation Management component to install the NAL NT
Service:  create or edit a Windows NT Workstation Package, create a new Action
to run NALNTSRV, schedule the action to run on User Login, run the action as
System impersonation, click Disable after Run Once, and add the word install as
a command line parameter.  
	Refer to the NWAdmn32 online help for additional installation instructions
(see the page titled "Update Secure Windows NT Server or Workstation").

 4. Reboot the Windows NT machine.

ISSUE: 

Note:  Z.E.N.works 1.01 Starter Pack is bundled with NetWare 5.

The following issues are addressed with this patch file:

TID 2942700 - "NAL 2.6:  NAL Explorer loads slowly on NT"

Using Z.E.N.works 1.01, if the NAL NT Service (NALNTSRV.EXE) is loaded, NAL
Explorer is very slow to load (around 20 seconds).  It appears to be stuck for
about 15 seconds on the "Loading..." phase.  If the NAL NT Service is disabled
(by going into Control Panel / Services), NAL Explorer loads much faster
(around 5 seconds).  

TID 2942706 - "NALNTSRV:  Bluescreen on Terminal Server"

Using Z.E.N.works 1.0, 1.01, or beta 1.1, when the NAL NT Service, NALNTSRV, is
loaded on a Microsoft Terminal Server using the Novell Client v4.5 for Windows
NT (the Novell client that works with Citrix MetaFrame), a bluescreen occurs in
the Win32 module on the Terminal Server.  The Citrix client connected to the
Terminal Server just hangs. 
No other fixes or changes are included in this NALNTSRV.EXE.
