INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1) If the Support Pack 3 hasn't been installed, delete the PKERNEL.NLM file
located in the NW5SP3\PRODUCTS\NWUXPS\SYSTEM directory.


2) If the Support Pack 3 is already installed and the option of backing up your
system files was used.

1.  Stop the UNIX services at the System Console by typing unistop.
2.  Replace sys:system\pkernel.nlm with sys:system\backsp3\system\pkernel.nlm
3.  Start the UNIX services at the System Console by typing unistart.


3) If the Support Pack 3 is already installed but, the backup option was
deselected, then download the PKERNEL.EXE file. The original PKERNEL.NLM file
is also located on the NetWare 5 NFS Services CD.


ISSUE: 

Symptoms:
At the System Console:
pmap_rgetport: clnt stat 5

At the Product Kernel Screen:
PKERNEL-Error-182:
  Unable to get the remote port number for remote host 10.241.64.3(prog=100003
vers=2) - Error =5

PKERNEL -Debug-280:
Clntrpc: RPC time out

NFSGW-Error-1735:
Error Mounting VOLUMENAME

Note: The PKERNEL-Debug-280 message will only be seen if the Product Kernel
reporting level is set to "Debug".


This bug is in the newest Product Kernel, included in Support Pack 3.
