ABSTRACT:

This maintenance patch is for the IPX/IP Gateway(IntranetWare 1.0) and is not
intended for any Gateways found in BorderManager products.  This patch resolves
several server abends and compatibility issues regarding Novell Client 32
version 3.1.

Limitations/Known Issues:
This version does not support resolving IP addresses to a host names in the
Gateway audit log.  Note: this feature may never be added.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Make backups:
    a. rename current ipxgw.nlm to ipxgw.org
    b. rename current debuglog.nlm to debuglog.org

2. Extract the ipgsn10.exe file to a temporary directory

3. Copy files in the temporary directory  to sys:\system directory on the
IPX/IP Gateway server
	files: 
                  ipxgw.nlm
                  debuglog.nlm
                  ipxgw.ncf
                  Ipxgwset.ncf

4. Edit the autoexec.ncf file.  Add the following line:
           ipxgw
NOTE 1: This is a ncf file and is needed because the IPX/IP
Gateway(IntrawareWare 1.0) use to be configured and supported via the
inetcfg.nlm.  However the Gateway version in this patch is based on
BorderManager 3.5 Gateway code and no longer supported in inetcfg.nlm.  Also
the newer versions of inetcfg.nlm no longer support the Gateways.

NOTE 2: ipxgw.ncf calls ipxgwset.ncf.  This file contains various SET
statements that control the gateway (access control, audit log).   This file
may be edited to fit you gateway needs.

5. Please reboot server

6. You MUST update all 3.X clients with Novell Client Support Pack 1,

2. Several abend issues
    a. abend in ipxgw.nlm 
    b. abend in ipxf.nlm
