Added code to fix a memory corruption problem, where if the user, during install, pressed the insert key in the available driver lists to add an additional driver, then selected a driver that was originally in the list, the server would abend. 3. Fixed and abend that could occur if selecting to copy files to the server after an initial install using rconsole. 4. Fixed a problem with install not reporting correct disk space on volumes more than 4 gig in size. 5. Fixed a cosmetic problem where some of the install screens would display a "%s" instead of the proper fileserver name. This fix was only tested with english versions of install. If using other language versions of netware, the old screens with the "%s" may still appear. 6. If installing from the "server options" menu selection in install , install.nlm could not find the icmd.nlm if install was loaded without specifying a driver letter such as c: for example. This primarily happened when loading install with rconsole. The fix involved changing the messages in install.nlm to tell the user to specify the source drive letter when loading install.nlm. If using non english language versions of netware, the old messages may still appear resulting in no direction to use a driver pointer. Copy the new version of install.nlm (vs. 2.24) to the system directory. The old version of install may exist on the server's dos partition as well. The setup process copies the install.nlm to the c:\nwserver directory. FOR NEW INSTALLATIONS: The install.bat program on the 4.10 cdrom disk will always load the old install.nlm located on the cd disk itself. In order to use the new install.nlm for a new installation do the following: cdrom using dos drivers: 1. Run install.bat from the root of the cd to copy the boot files to the server's boot directory on the C drive, which is usually c:\nwserver. 2. After the boot files are copied, unload install.nlm as soon as it pauses to wait for user input. This can be done by pressing alt f10 from the install screen. 3. Load the new install.nlm vs.2.24 4. Press alt esc to get to the server console screen and load the icmd.nlm from the c:\nwserver directory. Ex. load c:\nwserver\icmd note: install.nlm requires icmd.nlm and nwsnut.nlm - both of these files are copied to the server boot directory in step 1. 5. After install.nlm loads, you will have to complete the install manually from the main menu. 6. When copying system/public files, you will have to specify the source path on the CDrom. ex. d:\nw410\install\english ----------------------------------------------------------------- Any trademarks referenced in this document are the property of their respective owners.
