abstract

This file contains the SCSI driver for the IBM PS/2 Model 57. The driver, PS2SCSI.OBJ, has been tested and certified only with the internal host adapter and internal drivers on IBM's PS/2 Model 57.

installation

o INSTALL this version of the IBM PS/2 SCSI driver:

1) Copy PS2SCSI.OBJ and PS2SCSI.DSK to the SYSTEM-1 diskette or subdirectory.

2) Run INSTALL and select IBM PS/2 SCSI Disk Driver V1.13. Regenerate and install the operating system as you normally would.

This README file of PS2M57.EXE accompanies PS2SCSI.DSK & PS2SCSI.OBJ for NetWare v2.2.

SCSI DRIVER FOR PS/2 MODEL 57

This driver (PS2SCSI.OBJ) has been tested and certified only with the internal host adapter and internal drivers on the PS/2 Model 57.

This updated driver, version 1.13, addresses several problems with version 1.1 of this driver. They are:

1) Version 1.1 of this driver exhibited problems with a CDROM on a Non-Dedicated 2.2 server.

2) Version 1.1 of this driver would not show the correct controller number within Fconsole.

3) A loss of disk space or problems with partitioning would result from the use of this driver because the correct number of heads was not passed to the operating system.

INSTALLATION:

To INSTALL this version of the IBM PS/2 SCSI driver:

1) Copy PS2SCSI.OBJ and PS2SCSI.DSK to the SYSTEM-1 diskette or subdirectory.

2) Run INSTALL and select IBM PS/2 SCSI Disk Driver V1.13. Regenerate and install the operating system as you normally would.
