This is a more recent archive of MARS_NWE than is available in the ../mars_nwe
directory (which came from ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/ncpfs, the alternate
download site specified by the MARS_NWE website)

Most of this has come from https://ftp.disconnected-by-peer.at/ncpfs/ and is
archived here in case the original should go offline at some point in the
future.

At the time of writing (6-FEB-2022), the most recent release of MARS_NWE by 
anyone appears to be:
        mars_nwe-0.99pl23.tar.bz dated 5-NOV-2013

This version appears to work fine on current linux systems (tested on debian
10.10) but you'll need the IPX protocol kernel module which you can get from:
        https://github.com/pasis/ipx

0.99pl20 dated 1-SEP-2000
	This was the final release by Martin Stover, the original author of
	MARS_NWE.

0.99pl21, likely 9-FEB-2004 based on file modification dates
	This was built by Marco Cavallini of Koan Software. It includes only
	a change to "clear the connection number". It was originally made
	available for download at:
		 ftp://ftp.koansoftware.com/public/opensource/mars_nwe/
	(still live as of 6-FEB-2022) and a sourceforge project was created
	but seemingly never used.

0.99pl22, files dated 21-MAY-2012
	This was built by Mario Fetka (@geos_one, disconnected-by-peer.at).
	It rearranges the codebase significantly, imports the code for the
	DOS and Mail utilities, switches the build system to CMake and makes
	other improvements like replacing strcpy with strncpy

0.99pl23, files dated 5-NOV-2013
	This was also built by Mario Fetka.
	It appears to be just a small tidyup and includes a few patches at 
	least some of which are from here:
