This property page specifies the default policy, LDAP profile, scope profile, and host list for your Messenger system.
After you change settings on the General page, restart the Messenger agents to put the new settings into effect.
Default Policy
Browse to and select the default policy for your Messenger system. The default
policy governs all users unless additional policies are created and assigned
to specific users.
LDAP Profile
If you are using LDAP access to Novell® eDirectoryTM,
browse to and select the LDAP profile for your Messenger system. The LDAP profile
provides configuration information about your LDAP servers. This information
is used by the Messenger agents for user authentication and directory access.
Scope Profile
Browse to and select the default scope profile for your Messenger system. The
scope profile defines the eDirectory contexts where User objects are located
that you want to include in your Messenger system.
Host List
If you have created one or more host profiles, click Add to add them to the
host list for your Messenger system. To view or edit the properties of a Host
object, select its host profile, click Edit, then make changes. To remove a
host profile from the host list, select the host profile, then click Remove.
