This property page defines the types of personal information that are displayed in contact properties in the Messenger client for this user and overrides the information on the Information List property page of the user's policy.
The contact information displayed in the Messenger client is obtained from attributes on the user's Novell® eDirectoryTM User object. The Information List page initially displays eDirectory attribute names. If you are using LDAP access to eDirectory, you must list LDAP attributes rather than eDirectory attributes in those cases where the attribute names are not the same for eDirectory and LDAP.
After you change information on the Information List page, the user must log out and back in to the Messenger client to see the results.
Lock Icon
The lock icon indicates whether the information list is locked at the policy
level. If the information list is locked at the policy level, you cannot change
it at the user level.
Selected Attributes
To add an eDirectory/LDAP attribute, click Add.
To edit an attribute, select the attribute, click Edit, then make changes. To
remove an attribute, select the attribute, then click Remove.
In general, attributes must be of type STRING or DN in order to be included in the information list. However, if you are using LDAP access to eDirectory, telelphoneNumber and faxNumber can be included even though they are a separate type in eDirectory.
If eDirectory access is provided through an LDAP server, attribute names must be LDAP valid (for example, no spaces).
