Product Overview

This release of the Novell^® TCP/IP stack supersedes all previous TCP/IP releases and contains all of the functionality included in previous releases.

New features are added to the stack for improved and more efficient performance. The TCP/IP stack is now Multiprocessor (MP) Safe and is also backward compatible.

The following features have been added to the product since the last release:

Support for functioning on Multiprocessor computers
Dead Gateway Detection and Multiple Default Gateway features
Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) enabled
Configuration using SET Options
Backward compatibility
