SYMPTOM:

Customer has a machine with 4 SCSI drives.  Installed Novell DOS 7.0
and on reboot, after recognizing the SCSI devices during ROM POST,
the system hangs.  Customer is able to boot off floppy and access
everything, but to booting off the hard drive was impossible til
going back to DR DOS.

CAUSE:

Conflict with SCSI BIOS.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

Found that he has a AK47 VL Bus SCSI card with a ST2383N hard drive. 
His machine will not boot from the hard drive.

I called and talked to the vendor of the AK47 VL SCSI controller. 
They indicated that their are several revisions of their BIOS for
that controller.  The current version is v1.10.

SOLUTION:

Upgrade BIOS for the AK47 VL SCSI controller.
