CAUSES: This machine stores some video BIOS from E000-E7FF. While DRDOS's EMM386.EXE detected this and excluded that area of memory, Novell DOS's EMM386 does not. SOLUTIONS: There are 2 different ways around this: (1) Manually exclude the area by placing the parameter /E=E000-E7FF on the EMM386 device line. -or- (2) Replace the video card. This will usually allow you to use that area of upper memory (32K) without problem. In Novell tests, the video card that came with the Zenith was replaced by a Oak VGA card. This allowed the range to by used for TSRs and device drivers. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Any trademarks referenced in this document are the property of their respective owners.
