The user can create a 3.5" or 5.25" Personal NetWare installation disk set. The disks MUST have all of the disk space available. Download or place the D72PNW.EXE file in to a unique directory, i.e. TEMP, and then run the D72PNW executable to extract its contents. The user then runs the CREATE batch file to create the Personal NetWare installation disk set. The CREATE batch file requires source and destination drive letters be specified. USAGE: CREATE (source): (destination): EXAMPLE: The A: floppy disk drive is a 3.5" high density drive and is the drive from which the Novell DOS 7 diskettes will be read. The user wishes to create a 3.5" high density Personal NetWare installation disk set also in the A: floppy disk drive. The user would enter: CREATE A: A: Or, the A: floppy disk drive is a 3.5" high density drive and is the drive from which the Novell DOS 7 diskettes will be read. The user wishes to create a 5 1/4" high density Personal NetWare installation disk set in the B: floppy disk drive. The user would enter: CREATE A: B: The CREATE batch routine will create three temporary directories, DISK1, DISK2, and DISK3 below the current directory. Personal NetWare files will be copied off of the Novell DOS 7 installation diskettes and placed in the appropriate disk directory. Then CREATE will copy the contents of the DISKx directories to three diskettes in the specified destination drive letter. If the files have been read off of the Novell DOS 7 diskettes and the 3 temporary directories created, and, the user wishes to only create the new Personal NetWare installation disk set, the user can us SKIP to skip the reading of files off of the Novell DOS 7 disks. The user would enter: CREATE SKIP (destination): After the new Personal NetWare installation disk set is created, CREATE will remove the three temporary directories by using one of three methods: 1. Using the Novell DOS 7 XDEL.EXE. 2. Using the MSDOS 6 DELTREE.EXE. 3. Using the basic DOS DEL and RD commands. If the basic DOS DEL and RD command method is used, DOS will prompt the user "are you sure?" when the DEL *.* command is issued. The user should answer Y to these prompts. If the files have been read off of the Novell DOS 7 diskettes and the 3 temporary directories created, and the user wishes to delete the download and temporary directories without creating the Personal NetWare disk set, the user would enter: CREATE DELETE The user can break out of the CREATE batch routine at any time by pressing "ctrl" "C" and answering "Y" to the prompt. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Any trademarks referenced in this document are the property of their respective owners.
